This institute of management based at Jamshedpur is considered to be one of the best in the country. To secure admission to this prestigious institute, the students have to give the XAT exam. The XLRI Aptitude test is considered in the month of January every year. In the year 2008, this test was conducted on Sunday, January the 6th. The test is a difficult one ans like the CAT is known to be unpredictable. The test keeps throwing stiff challenges at you. The test has the following sections. It has sections to test your reasoning power in quantitative ability, Logical Reasoning, Decision Making and verbal ability and reading comprehensions. The XAT exam is generally one of the last ones to take place in that particular academic year.

The test is of the duration of two and a half hours, though the paper pattern can change from time to time. The test also has an additional essay writing section associated with it.
