Correspondence Mba In India
The Correspondence MBA courses are offered by many institutes in India. The Correspondence courses are also referred to as the distance MBA courses and many students take up such courses in order to learn the Management courses.
The correspondence courses are often preferred by students who do not actually have time to be physically present during their MBA courses and hence can study the course from wherever they are located. The fees of the Correspondence MBA courses is also lower than the part time and the full time MBA courses and hence are financially viable.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), School of Management Studies, New Delhi offers a correspondence course in MBA. The duration of this course is about one year. The Indian Institute of Commerce and Trade in Lucknow also offers distance MBA courses.
Correspondence courses or distance learning courses have their own set of advantages. Not just in India, but distance learning MBA's are famous all over the World. Many colleges in the United Kingdom and the United States of America also offer such courses. Most of these courses are taken by students who are unable to complete a full time MBA courses due to their jobs or other commitments. But the correspondence course offers all the requisite training required in order to get a degree of Management. The correspondence material required for the training is given to the students.
The disadvantages or the shortcomings of the Correspondence courses are that they do not necessarily offer a practical approach to the students. Management is all about learning how to manage people, projects and resources. Thus a practical approach is required to learn the nuances of Management. But, this is generally not available with Correspondence courses and hence the courses are not preferred by a large number of students.
